Indiana Aerospace University

Indiana Aerospace University (IAU), established in 1992, is a premier educational institution in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines, specializing in aviation and aerospace programs. IAU offers a diverse range of undergraduate and special courses designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful careers in the aviation industry.

Undergraduate Programs:

  • Aerospace Engineering (BSAE): This program provides in-depth learning of mechanics and physics of fluids, aircraft and spacecraft structures and materials, instrumentation, control and estimation, human and automation, propulsion and energy conservation, and aeronautical and astronautical systems.

  • Aircraft Maintenance Technology: A four-year intensive program designed to prepare students for the highly competitive and technical aviation industry.

  • Airline Management: This program focuses on the business aspects of the aviation industry, preparing students for managerial roles in airlines and related sectors.

  • Aviation Technology – Major in Flying: A comprehensive pilot training program prescribed by the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHEd) curricular mandate and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

  • Avionics: This program covers the study of aircraft electronic systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.

  • Elementary Education: A program designed to prepare students for teaching roles in elementary schools, focusing on foundational education principles and practices.

  • Hospitality Management: This program prepares students for careers in the hospitality industry, covering areas such as hotel and restaurant management, event planning, and tourism services.

 

Special Courses:

  • Private Pilot License Course: A course designed to provide the necessary training and knowledge to obtain a private pilot license.

  • Commercial Pilot License Course: This course offers advanced training for those aiming to obtain a commercial pilot license.

  • Instrument Rating Course: A course focused on training pilots to fly under instrument flight rules, enhancing their ability to operate in various weather conditions.

  • Flight Instructor Course: This course prepares experienced pilots to become certified flight instructors, enabling them to teach and mentor future pilots.
